LCL transit by lane
Groupage cargo moves on its own consolidation schedule, so the lane matters more than the corridor.
| LCL lane | Frequency | Transit (station to station) |
|---|---|---|
| Xi'an → Baku, Azerbaijan | Regular departures | About 25 days, via the Middle Corridor |
| Xi'an → Moscow, Russia | 2 departures per week | 12–16 days |
| Xi'an → Duisburg / Warsaw, EU | Weekly | 18–25 days |
| Xi'an → Central Asia | Weekly | 7–15 days |
What actually moves the transit time
- Departure schedule. A lane with daily departures recovers from a disruption far faster than a lane with one train a week. This is why we push shippers towards high-frequency corridors such as Xi'an to Baku.
- Border congestion. The gauge change at Khorgos, Alashankou, Manzhouli or Erenhot is the single most common source of variance. Queues build seasonally and clear again within days.
- The Caspian crossing. On the Middle Corridor, cargo transfers to a sea leg between the Kazakh port of Aktau or Kuryk and Alat Port in Azerbaijan. Ferry availability depends on weather and on how the vessels are loaded, so allow for it in the plan rather than treating it as a fixed interval.
- Destination customs. Clearance at destination is a separate process from the rail leg. Missing documents are the usual cause of a hold, not the train.
- Commodity and inspection. Some cargo categories need advance checks with the platform before space is confirmed. If that is you, tell us early.
Station to station versus door to door
Station-to-station figures exclude the legs either side of the rail. A door-to-door figure adds factory collection in China, export declaration, and at destination the clearance, devanning and final delivery. If you are comparing our transit time with a competitor's, check which basis they are quoting on — a station-to-station figure and a door-to-door figure for the same shipment can differ by a week or more.
